Ronaldinho throws tantrum at substitution

The former Barcelona attacker reacted furiously to being brought off.

RONALDINHO THREW A tantrum after being substituted during Queretaro’s clash with Pachuca.

The ex-Brazil international, 35, linked up with the Mexican club late last year but his early months have been fraught with tension between himself and the coaching staff.

Many of his appearances have been cameos from the substitutes’ bench, but he was chosen to start by head coach Victor Manuel Viucetich in the Liga MX semi-final first leg on Thursday.

However, the sending off of Queretaro defender Ricardo Osorio with the side already 2-0 down caused Vucetich to bring off the former Barcelona attacker in a bid to limit the damage.

Ronaldinho did not respond well to the decision and stormed into the changing room before taking off his kit and leaving the stadium.

The decision to take off the Brazilian off at least helped to stifle Pachuca’s attack, with the match finishing 2-0.

In fairness to Ronaldinho though, it’s somewhat understandable that a footballer who can do this would be a bit cocky…
