Rory McIlroy races his coach up The Rocky Steps in Philadelphia
THE WEATHER MAY not be the best at the moment in Philadelphia with play having been suspended at the opening round of the US Open at Merion Golf Club.
Yet the sun was shining yesterday as Rory McIlroy did a bit of sight-seeing with his coach Michael Bannon.
And what better place to visit in Philadelphia than the ‘Rocky Steps’ – the steps before the entrance to the city’s Museum of Art which appeared in the famous boxing films.
Challenging each other to a race up the steps was inevitable really.
But we don’t reckon this is McIlroy’s typical pre-Major preparation.
