Rappers to line out for Munster rugby Christmas party

We don’t know what Dougie Howlett will think of Horse Outside.

THEY SAID THIS week that they ‘know nothing about rugby, kid‘ but the Rubberbandits are set to star at some of our biggest rugby stars’ Christmas party.

The YouTube sensations – who are hoping to top the Christmas charts with their song Horse Outside – have been invited to perform at the annual get-together of Munster Rugby players.

Thomond Park scrum-half Tomás O’Leary told TheScore last week that he didn’t know what exactly was planned but said that the injured players in the squad usually organise the party.

The Limerick Leader reports today however that O’Leary and his team-mates – who face Ospreys in Wales tomorrow – will be treated to the hottest ‘hip-hop collective’ in the country after hooker Jerry Flannery booked the act himself.

The gig will be held in a ‘secret location’.

Blindboy Boat Club said earlier this week that he was “from Limerick through and through” – despite his insistence that he knew so little about rugby that he often became confused as to whether that game was the one played with the round or oval ball.

really like?

There had been some talk that the group are not actually from Limerick city, though some newspapers named the plastic bag-wearing characters this morning.

After a crazy week, which included Liveline debates and Leinster House appearances, The Rubberbandits are scheduled to appear on the Late Late Show tonight.
