THE RUGBY WORLD CUP is 500 days away and the event organisers are eager to get the word out.
Handy, then, that owners of London’s City Hall took no issue with a giant rugby ball image from being projected on its façade to mark the occasion. The pictures were taken on Sunday night but today, 6 May, is the 500-day mark on the RWC countdown.
Wildly optimistic rugby fans, if you save a euro a day until the tournament kicks off you may have enough cash to buy a ticket for the final, at Twickenham, to see Paul O’Connell and the Irish team take on New Zealand.
