Ryanair to provide extra flights to Estonia

The company is giving Irish football fans another chance to see the game in the flesh, after their initial flight sold out.

RYANAIR HAVE ADDED two extra flights from Dublin to Tallinn, owing to the significant demand from Irish football fans looking to travel to the city.

There was an immediate rise in the price of flights to the city, after Ireland drew Estonia in yesterday’s play-off draw, with the game set to take place on Friday 11 November.

There were just five seats remaining on the flight from Dublin to Tallinn half an hour after the draw was made yesterday, with the highest fare set at €205 plus taxes.

The flights leave on 11 November and will return early the next morning.

The company are offering seats priced at €99 each way (plus taxes).

Speaking in relation to the matter, a spokesperson for Ryanair said:

“Ryanair has not increased its prices to Tallinn following the Euro draw.  The seats on our one scheduled flight were simply snapped up by eager football fans in the 30 minutes following the draw, leaving just five remaining seats on our scheduled Thursday flight.

“We have now added not just one, but two extra outbound flights on the Friday, at prices from just €99 one way (plus taxes) and if there is sufficient demand from Irish soccer fans, then we will add a third outbound flight on the Friday in due course.

“We expect demand for these seats, which operate directly into Tallinn Airport to be high, so we advise all football fans to snap them up quickly and avoid high priced tour operator packages, which are currently priced at €500 and €600 return.”

Ireland are set to play Estonia in a Euro 2012 first-leg play-off on 11 November, with the return leg due to take place on 15 November.
