SOUTHAMPTON FORWARD SADIO Mane is on the verge of signing for Liverpool after the two clubs agreed a £30 million deal for the Senegal international, according to the Press Association.
Mane, who joined the Saints from Red Bull Salzburg for £12 million in 2014, scored three goals against Liverpool last season, and is due to complete a medical and personal terms within the next 24 hours.
The 24-year-old will add extra pace to Jurgen Klopp’s side, while adding further firepower in attack, having scored 21 league goals in 67 league appearances for Southampton.
Should Mane complete his move to Anfield he will become the fifth player to join Liverpool from St Mary’s in the last two years, following Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert from Southampton.
Mane will join goalkeeper Loris Karius and defender Joel Matip in moving to Liverpool this close season.
