'He's an absolute tank!' - Arsenal's Kolasinac could prove the bargain of the summer

The Bosnian full-back arrived on a free from Schalke and scored in Sunday’s Community Shield win.

ARSENAL DEFENDER SEAD Kolasinac could prove the signing of the season, according to one of his Arsenal team-mates.

The left-back joined Arsene Wenger’s side on a Bosman deal from Schalke this summer and made a strong start for the Londoners — scoring in the Community Shield during a solid all-round performance.

And the Bosnia-Herzegovina international’s new team-mate Theo Walcott believes he is “beautiful” to watch in his own way.

“Honestly, he’s an absolute animal,” Walcott said. “He’s incredible. I see him in the gym every day. You can just tell he looks after himself well. He eats the right food and he’s professional.

“You can see the power he’s got when he’s got the ball, his pace and everything. It’s beautiful to watch and he’s a great addition to the squad.”

The England man is glad he’s not been on the wrong end of one of his biggest tackles yet.

Trust me, he’s not easy to get around — he’s quite wide as well,” he added.

“He fits perfectly for the Premier League, he’s absolutely perfect. He’s going to show something different.

“I’ve seen glimpses of him in pre-season and he’s going to get fitter, stronger and quicker. This league is the best and I think he could be one of the best in this league.

“He looks an absolute tank. He’s one tough unit to get past and I’m sure his physical attributes are going to be key to us this season.”

Kolasinac’s arrival on a free transfer stands in stark contrast to title rivals Man City, who spent big on Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Danilo to reinforce their defence down the flanks.
