HE HASN’T SEEN a lot of play, play, play recently but Republic of Ireland international Sean St Ledger seems to have got a pick-me-up by ringing in the New Year with American superstar Taylor Swift.
St Ledger, who was released by Ipswich Town last week after a short-term stay at Portman Road, posted a picture online of him and the singer on New Year’s Eve.

The 37-capped defender endured a miserable 2014 as he struggled to find a new employer after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Leicester at the end of last season.
