Who's Shane McLowry? ESPN reporter gets his Irish golfers mixed up during Masters interview

The Offaly man appeared to take it well.

IRELAND’S SHANE LOWRY sits just two shots off the lead in the Masters after an impressive opening round at Augusta.

Offaly’s favourite son shot a 68 yesterday with just Jordan Spieth recording a better score.

ESPN reporter Tom Rinaldi spoke to the 29-year-old afterwards but referred to him as “Shane McLowry” — which we presume is a hybrid of McIlroy and Lowry.

To make matters worse, Google’s Masters leaderboard has seemingly confused Lowry with the Perth Glory footballer of the same name and made him Australian…
