Here are this week's fixtures in the 2014 Fitzgibbon and Sigerson Cups

There’s quarter-final places on offer in the Fitzgibbon Cup while semi-final spots are chased in the Sigerson Cup.

IT’S A BUSY week of action in the Fitzgibbon and Sigerson Cup competitions.

There’s quarter-final places on offer tomorrow in the Fitzgibbon Cup as the last round of group games are held.

In Group A, UCC only need a point to clinch top spot and a home quarter-final tie. Waterford IT or Carlow IT will claim the second spot as they get set to face off in Carriganore.

In Group B, UL have secured top spot with UCD and Mary Immaculate College battling for the second place. Similarly in Group C, Cork IT have bagged top place with Limerick IT and GMIT fighting it out tomorrow for the runner-up spot.

And in Group D, Dublin IT can clinch a home quarter-final if they gain at least a draw against DCU. NUI Galway already have two points after defeating DCU last week.

Tuesday

UCC v St Patrick’s Mater-Dei, Mardyke, 2.30pm, (Ref: Fergal Horgan, Tipperary).
Group B
UCD  v Mary Immaculate College, Belfield, 3pm, (Ref: Brian Gavin, Offaly).
Group C
Limerick IT v GMIT, Limerick IT, 2.30pm, (Ref: John O’Brien, Tipperary).
Group D
DCU v Dublin IT, DCU Sportsground, 2.30pm, (Ref: David Hughes, Carlow).

Last Eight

Meanwhile the Sigerson Cup races heats up on Wednesday and Thursday with semi-final places on offer. Reigning champions Dublin IT, 2010 and 2012 kingpins DCU, 2011 winners UCC and 2009 champions Cork IT are all in action.
