Six Nations: England unchanged while Italy mix it up at half-back

Canavosio and Orquera start at nine and ten for Nick Mallett’s Azzurri.

ENGLAND MANAGER MARTIN JOHNSON has unsurprisingly named an unchanged side ahead of the visit of Nick Mallett’s Azzuri on Saturday afternoon.

That means that there is no place for Hendre Fourie at open-side flanker, with Stade Francais’ James Haskell holding on to the number seven shirt.

Meanwhile, Mallett has made four changes in total to the side which was narrowly beaten by Ireland in Rome last Saturday.

Young scrum-half Edoardo Gori is still sidelined with the shoulder injury which he sustained early in last week’s game, with Aironi’s Pablo Canavosio bumped up in his place.

Canavosio is joined in the half-backs by Luciano Orquera who has been given the nod at out-half over Kris Burton.

Mallett has also made two changes in the forwards. Lock Carlo Del Fava comes in for Santiago Dellape, while Valerio Bernabo replaces Josh Sole at blind-side flanker.

The game at Twickenham kicks off at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon.
