This is the statue of Sonia O'Sullivan that was unveiled in Cobh today

No sign of Gabriella Szabo.

SHE WAS ALWAYS more interested in silver and gold throughout her glittering atheltics career, but today Sonia O’Sullivan was immortalised in bronze.

The Cobh native was honoured in her hometown as a new statue was unveiled today.

The statue was commissioned by Cobh Tourism and created by local sculptor James McLoughlin.
