Bryan Sheehan's South Kerry prove too strong for Austin Stacks in Kerry SFC replay

Sean Cournane and Killian Young found the net for the defending champions.

A GOAL EITHER side of half-time saw South Kerry see off Austin Stacks by eight points in their Kerry senior football championship Round 2A replay this evening.

After Bryan Sheehan’s leveling point last week, the two sides renewed battle lines in Tralee but the defending champions proved too strong with Sean Cournane and Killian Young finding the net.

There was little to separate the sides until Sheehan set-up Cournane for the game’s opening goal after half an hour.

From there, the 2015 champions pulled clear and eventually ran out 2-10 to 0-8 winners at Connolly Park.

Austin Stacks will now go into Round 3A alongside Killarney Legion, St Kieran’s and Dingle while South Kerry advance to the quarter finals.
