ST BRIGID’S MADE light work of their Connacht senior football quarter-final against St Mary’s, dispatching the Sligo representatives with 21 points to spare.

Ben O’Carroll scored 1-7 for the reigning champions, including quickfire orange and green flags to put six points between the sides midway through the first half.

Ruaidhrí Fallon laid on that goal and he also assisted the second for Bobby Nugent shortly after to put the game to bed, 2-8 to 0-4 at half-time.

Further two-pointers from O’Carroll and place-kicking goalkeeper Conor Carroll extended the scoreline out to 2-24 to 0-9 for a finish.

Meanwhile, Dunloy ended a 23-year wait to capture their third Ulster senior camogie title with a 1-10 to 0-11 victory over Clonduff.

Having trailed by one at half-time, 0-4 to 0-5, Eobha McAllister’s 44th-minute goal was the crucial score as the Antrim champions held on for a two-point winning margin.

It’s the fifth consecutive title to return to the county after Loughgiel’s four-in-a-row.

Dicksboro will meet St Martin’s in the Leinster senior camogie final.

A repeat of the 2023 provincial final ended with the same outcome as Dicksboro saw off St Vincent’s by 0-13 to 0-10.

These two teams have evenly shared the last four titles between them, but it was the Kilkenny champions who emerged victorious, led by Aoife Prendergast, while Orla Hanrick slotted back-to-back insurance scores.

Wexford winners St Martin’s got back to their first provincial final since 2019 after seeing off Offaly’s Shinrone by 3-24 to 0-7 with two goals from Aoife O’Connor and one by Lisa Firman.
