STEPH CURRY MISSED the cut Friday at the Web.com Tour’s Ellie Mae Classic after shooting consecutive 4-over 74s.
Amid controversy, Curry made it into the field as a sponsor’s exemption. Curry bogeyed four of his first eight holes Friday, but settled into his round with a birdie on the par-4 14th.
Curry, who also birdied the par-4 17th, ultimately finished 11 shots behind the 3-under cut line. Andrew Yun currently holds the lead at 13 under after firing an 8-under 62 in Round 2.
Curry may be among the best basketball players in the world, but he has a long way to go before he can compete at the highest level in golf.
An avid golfer, Curry could feature in a professional golf event in the future.
