AFTER BASKING IN his national heroics for a few days, John O’Shea crashed down to earth today after his Sunderland side were thumped 8-0 at Southampton.

Santiago Vergini (own goal), Graziano Pellè (x2), Jack Cork, Liam Bridcutt (another own goal), Dusan Tadić, Victor Wanyama and Sadio Mane contributed the goals.
