Swansea sever ties with agent but Laudrup insists he's staying

Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be interested in the Danish manager.

SWANSEA CITY BOSS Michael Laudrup is intent on staying at the Liberty Stadium despite the breakdown between the club and his agent.

Laudrup’s agent of more than 20 years, Bayram Tutumlu, has fallen out with Swansea after the Welsh club claimed he was trying to dictate their transfer policy.

Former Denmark international Laudrup has been a success at Swansea, lead the club to a League Cup victory and a ninth-placed finish in the Premier League last season, his first in charge.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for Laudrup but he has underlined his commitment to Swansea.

“It is their (Tutumlu and Swansea’s) mutual problem. It does not affect my relationship with Bayram,” Laudrup said.

And it does not alter my decision to stay in Swansea. The only thing I’m interested in is having the best players in the club’s financial leeway available in the next season.”

Tutumlu offered the same view, insisting that Laudrup would remain at the club.

He did admit that he was unhappy about his fall-out with Swansea, though, and believes chairman Huw Jenkins is putting the club’s league position at risk.

“Michael Laudrup is the coach of Swansea City and he will stay as the coach. He thinks only about Swansea,” Tutumlu said.

“He has said many times before that he will stay at Swansea. I’ve not spoken to Michael, but I’m very disappointed about the situation.

“I only try to bring good players for Michael while Huw Jenkins wants cheap, Championship players.

“I did a lot of good work for Swansea and I helped to bring players like Chico Flores, Michu, Pablo Hernandez and Jonathan de Guzman to the club.”
