The Morning Score: Easter Monday

Dublin choke, as do Arsenal and Luke Donald – it must be something in the air.

1. #GAA Cork are the Allianz National Football League Division 1 champions after overcoming an eight-point deficit to record an unlikely 0-21 to 2-14 victory over Dublin in Croke Park yesterday.

The Dubs “will get stick for this but we’ll deal with that because it’s our job,” said manager Pat Gilroy. Read more in today’s Irish Independent.

2. #PREMIER LEAGUE An 89th-minute winner from Tamir Cohen gave Bolton a 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Reebok Stadium, virtually ending the Gunners’ title hopes in the process.

Paul Ring has been mulling over the talking points from the weekend’s action. We’ll have his take on events later on this morning.

3. #GOLF Lee Westwood has regained his place at the top of golf’s world rankings with a win at the Indonesian Masters in Jakarta.

Luke Donald a chance to leapfrog his fellow countryman into the number one spot, but was edged out in a sudden-death playoff at The Heritage in South Carolina by Brandt Snedeker. Read the BBC’s report here.

4. #MARK YOUR CARD Yesterday, our racing guru and all-round good guy Mark Hobbs tipped 9-2 shot Realt Dubh who won the day’s feature race at Fairyhouse, the Powers Gold Cup.

5. #SNOOKER Ronnie O’Sullivan hasn’t quite managed to shake the challenge of Shaun Murphy in their second round World Championship Match at the Crucible.

O’Sullivan leads by nine frames to seven after two sessions of play. The best-of-25 match resumes at 7pm this evening and will continue to a finish.
