The Morning Score: Monday

Leinster back on top, trouble in the Meath camp and Chelsea sack their manager.

1. #ROYAL MESS Meath chiefs last night confirmed that selectors, Liam Harnan and Barry O’Callaghan,  have left the senior football set-up.

Though the board insist the duo quit for ‘personal reasons’, their departure from Seamus McEnaney’s backroom will be linked to the reintroduction of Graham Geraghty to the panel this weekend.

2. #BLUES Chelsea last night sacked manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian won’t be surprised by Roman Abromovich’s decision after a trophy-less season at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues lost to Everton at Goodison Park yesterday, the last day of the season, and he was reportedly sacked in the corridor afterwards.

3. #CHAMPIONS While Ancelotti lost his job in the Goodison Park tunnel, Manchester United players and staff celebrated their 19th league title with a 4-2 win over Blackpool.

Ian Holloway’s side were therefore relegated along with Birmingham and of course West Ham.

4. #HEINEKEN CUP Leinster’s victorious Heineken Cup heroes were welcomed back to Dublin yesterday by their fans.

The cup was paraded at the RDS 24 hours after their dramatic comeback victory over Northampton Saints in Cardiff.

Our man Niall made it back in case you were wondering.

5. #CARLING CUP We’ll be at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow night for the Carling Cup clash with Northern Ireland.

One man who won’t be present however is Celtic striker Anthony Stokes. The Dubliner has reportedly ‘jeopardised his Irish future’ by pulling out of the tournament citing fatigue.

6. #GOLF Ian Poulter beat Luke Donald in the final of the World Match Play championships in Spain. But not before this little fall.
