Peng wore down the Serb 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 to reach the third round. Rafa Nadal cruised through, winning 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 in one hour and 42 minutes over Ryan Sweeting.

4. #COURT DATE Limerick have made an application to the High Court to force the FAI to appoint an arbitrator to hear their case against the decision not to allow a friendly with Barcelona to go ahead at Thomond Park last year.

Mark McCadden reports in the Irish Daily Star that the case will be heard on Monday, January 31.
