The Morning Score: Thursday

The Old Firm derby lives up to its billing again, the Irish cricketers wake up as heroes and Serena Williams in a health scare.

1. #OLD FIRM This madness is why we love Celtic v Rangers clashes – but probably why they don’t usually play the derby at night.

The Scottish Cup fifth round replay saw Rangers ultimately have three players sent off, manager Neil Lennon and Gers boss-in-waiting Ally McCoist clashed on the sideline and the Bhoys squeeked through thanks to a Mark Wilson goal.

Lennon’s side will now face Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the quarter-finals as Celtic remain in contention to complete a domestic treble, a feat now out of Rangers’ reach.

We’ll have more later.

2. #CRICKET WORLD CUP We’re still getting over yesterday’s heroics from Ireland.

The Irish humiliated England in Bangalore in a victory that is hard to put into context. Read how it happened in our minute-by-minute, the Twitter reaction, who the real winners are and check out the best images from a memorable day.

3. #SIX NATIONS The Ireland squad – currently in camp at Carton House in Kildare – will train this morning. Afterwards members of the squad and management will face the press. Expect the first question to centre on cricket.

4.#FA CUP With Irish youngster Conor Henderson given a debut (though the Guardian’s Kevin McCarra repatriated him to England) Nicklas Bendtner fired a hat-trick as Arsenal shook off their Carling Cup final disappointment to set up a clash against Manchester United in the last eight of the FA Cup with a 5-0 thrashing of Leyton Orient.

Elsewhere, Manchester City tonked a sorry Aston Villa 3-0.

5.#CONCERN Serena Williams was last night being treated for a blood clot in her lungs. Williams was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism last week and later needed treatment for a hematoma. She might be up to up to a year in total.

6. #YOUTUBE Like every Thursday, we’re currently compiling our weekly viral round-up. Send us your suggestions.

Here’s one that might make the cut; the obligatory LeBron clip:
