Chelsea and United go toe-to-toe, Ireland’s cricket stars take on the mighty English and the Old Firm are set to meet for the fifth time this season.

1. #PREMIER LEAGUE Chelsea came from behind in a thrilling clash at Stamford Bridge last night to beat rivals Manchester United 2-1.

Wayne Rooney struck from outside the box to put the visitors one up at the break. But David Luiz volleyed the equaliser early in the second half and Frank Lampard’s disputed penalty secured three points 10 minutes from time.

Nemanja Vidic was sent off for a second yellow in injury time and he will now miss the meeting with Liverpool this weekend. Suddenly, the title race is interesting again.

2. #CRICKET WORLD CUP Ireland face England in Bangladore in the next hour. Our boys were relaxed yesterday as they showed off their new hairstyles.

It’ll add some colour to one of the oldest rivalries in sport. We’ll have all the details in our minute-by-minute report from 9am.

4. #OLD FIRM Celtic host Old Firm rivals Rangers in a Scottish Cup replay at Parkhead tonight.

The Glasgow giants square up in the fifth of seven meetings this season, a place in the last eight of the Scottish Cup at stake in the fifth round replay at Celtic Park after the 2-2 draw in the original game.

5. #RACING Ruby Walsh is close to a return to action as Cheltenham looms on the horizon.
