2. #OPEN The countdown is on at Sandwich. Yesterday Rory McIlroy learned he’ll play with Ricky Fowler and Ernie Els when the British Open kicks off tomorrow.

3. #HERE WE GO AGAIN Sky Sports yesterday announced the first details of their Premier League coverage next season, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all featuring on the opening weekend.

Sky’s first televised match of the season sees Chelsea travel to face Stoke on Sunday, 14 August, before Manchester United launch the defence of their title against West Brom later that afternoon.
