TIPPERARY SENIOR HURLING panellist John O’Keeffe and county senior footballer Brian Fox will start in Saturday’s All-Ireland intermediate hurling final against Kilkenny.
O’Keeffe, who played in the 2011 All-Ireland senior final against the Cats, has been drafted into the team at right half-back.
While Fox featured for Peter Creedon’s senior football side when they exited the championship in the qualifiers in June against Galway.
Fox will start in midfield on Saturday after being brought on as a substitute in July’s Munster final win by 0-19 to 0-18 against Cork.
This year’s Tipperary U21 hurling captain Niall O’Meara has also been brought into the Premier intermediate side at left half-forward for Saturday’s game in Nowlan Park at 6pm.
The three players to make way are Joey McLoughney, the injured Sean McCormack and Paudie Greene.
Tipperary feature 2010 All-Ireland senior hurling winners Darragh Egan and David Young in goal and at centre-back respectively.
Corner-forward Timmy Hammersley was also on the 2010 senior panel.
