The sides meet in the Gaelic Grounds on Thursday night.

SEVEN OF THE Limerick minor hurling team that won last year’s Munster title are named in the side to face Tipperary in this year’s opening clash tomorrow night.

Limerick host Tipperary in the Gaelic Grounds and will be hoping to call on several members of the team that defeated Waterford in last year’s provincial decider replay.

Corner-back Sean Finn, wing-back Andrew La Touche Cosgrave, centre-back Ronan Lynch, centre-forward Barry Nash, wing-forward Cian Lynch (Patrickswell) and corner-forwards Tom Morrissey and Colin Ryan all played last year.

Interestingly Colin Ryan was the goalkeeper on the 2013 team while full-forward Ed Doyle came on as a sub in the win over Waterford. Ronan Lynch, Cian Lynch and Cian O’Brien were all on the Ardscoil Rís team that won this year’s Dr Harty Cup final.

There are three survivors from the Tipperary team which lost to Limerick in last year’s Munster championship.
