ULSTER’S SECOND AND last pre-season friendly was halted for 12 first half minutes before Leicester Tigers out-half Toby Flood was stretchered off.
Flood took a forearm to the face when moving to tackle Dan Tuohy in the seventh minute.

The lock was sin-bined and Flood replaced by Ryan Lamb. Fotunately, the majority of the treatment appears to have been precautionary as Flood soon tweeted from his neck brace with a smile and thumbs up.
Tigers would go onto ground four tries, Niall Morris at the heart of both first half touchdowns as he scored the first and created the other for David Mele.
With James McKinney registering Ulster’s only score from two penalty attempts, Leicester took an 18-3 lead into the Welford Road dressing rooms at the break.
Anthony Allen would help extend that lead out to 25-3 and although substitues Chris Henry and Paddy Jackson helped the northern province into double figures, it was Leicester who grounded the final score through Sebastian de Chaves.
Ulster will hope to have Tuohy free and available to open their Pro12 campaign away to the Dragons next weekend. Meanwhile, Leicester’s Irish international back coach Paul Burke had this to say about their stricken number 10:
