THEY WERE TWO of the figures in the spotlight when Kilkenny played Tipperary last year in Croke Park.
And Tommy Walsh and Lar Corbett are back hurling against each other at the stadium this Saturday.
It’s all part of an exhibition of ‘Super 11′ hurling between Leinster and Munster selections on All-Ireland hurling final replay day.
The exhibition takes place before the replay clash of Cork and Clare which throws in at 5pm on Saturday.
Kilkenny star Walsh will be part of the Leinster team alongside the likes of Dublin’s Liam Rushe and Galway’s James Skehill.
While Tipperary’s Corbett has Premier teammate Eoin Kelly and Limerick’s Gavin O’Mahony amongst his teammates in the Munster side that will oppose them.
‘Super 11′ hurling was played as part of the International Hurling festival in Galway last weekend and will also feature in Notre Dame in the US before a major colleges game next month.
The exhibition game forms part of a pre-match entertainment package that has been organised by the GAA for the replay.
The GAA are urging supporters to get to the stadium early for the match. Paddy Casey and the Shannon Gospel Choir will perform on the field before the game at 3.40pm and again at half-time.
There is also pre-match analysis from Liberty Insurance ambassadors Jamesie O’Connor and Joe Deane.
