TOULON WERE UPSET 28-23 by Bordeaux-Begles over the weekend and aside from the surprise of the result there was one thing that stood out. Georgian prop Levan Chilachava came off the bench for the French and European champions and since his side were chasing the game he tried a risky pass to create something.
It did not go well.
American football must not have a large following in Georgia because Chilachava’s technique is all wrong.
And if he wanted to gets some tips he could have just gone to the opposition sideline and talked to Bordeaux coach Raphael Ibanez who pioneered the one-armed hooker throw.
The Georgian’s reaction afterwards was great too. He knew that he had probably jumped too far outside his comfort zone.
