Traille to be centre of attention in Dublin

Les Bleus name side to face Declan Kidney’s men at Lansdowne Road on Sunday afternoon.

FRANCE HAVE NAMED their side to face Ireland in Dublin this weekend.

Marc Lièvremont has moved Damien Traille from full-back to inside centre. Clément Poitrenaud also gets the nod at full back for Sunday’s RBS 6 Nations clash at the Aviva Stadium.

Traille takes over the number 12 jersey from Maxime Mermoz, who injured his shoulder in the 34-21 win against Scotland last week.

Toulouse back Yannick Jauzion takes up the vacant spot amongst the replacements.

After Saturday’s awesome display against the Scots, Lièvremont was understandably keen to keep on track.  ’We go with stability,’ he said.

I think Damien (Traille) is better physically and mentally than he was in November. I liked his performance at the back. He can play in many positions.

Ireland will train today after they gathered in Dublin last night.

France (versus Ireland, Saturday,3pm):

15 Clément Poitrenaud, 14 Yoann Huget, 13 Aurélien Rougerie, 12 Damien Traille, 11 Maxime Médard, 10 François Trinh-Duc, 9 Morgan Parra, 8 Imanol Harinordoquy, 7 Julien Bonnaire, 6 Thierry Dusautoir (c), 5 Lionel Nallet, 4 Julien Pierre, 3 Nicolas Mas, 2 William Servat, 1 Thomas Domingo

Replacements: 16 Guilhem Guirado, 17 Sylvain Marconnet, 18 Jerome Thion, 19 Sébastien Chabal, 20 Dimitri Yachvili, 21 Yannick Jauzion, 22 Vincent Clerc
