HERE ARE THE good, the bad, and the unlikely football moves being talked about today…

PSG could be left empty-handed in their pursuit of Alexis Sanchez and Neymar, as moves for both South American forwards appear to be off.

French newspaper Le Parisien report that plans to bring the Chilean to the Parc des Princes have been put on hold after talks collapsed between both parties.

Wage demands are cited as the reason behind the collapse, with Arsenal now certain to hang onto their star player — even turning down the offer of a swap deal which would see a PSG player go the other way.

Arsenal have signed just two players so far this window and are now eyeing up a move for Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho.

The Daily Star report that the the London club are in talks with the 25-year-old and there are plans for a second bid after an initial offer of £20.6 million was rejected.

The midfielder’s release clause sits at €35.7 million, but club president Bruno de Carvalho is reportedly willing to accept an €26 million.

Meanwhile Jurgen Klopp said he is confident Emre Can will sign a new contract at Liverpool.

The Reds boss said the club had overseen “good talks” with the German international amid interest from Serie A champions Juventus.

The Daily Mail report that the Italian double winners are going to make a £31 million bid for the player, who is entering the final year of his contact on Merseyside.

Reports coming from Manchester City suggest Samir Nasri has become an outcast during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, with a source detailing that some players didn’t even know why the midfielder was with the squad.

Nasri returned to City following a season-long loan to Seville but The Daily Telegraph and The Times report that manager Pep Guardiola is desperate to offload the midfielder, with some team-mates ignoring Nasri on their pre-season tour due to his “arrogant attitude”.

‘God’ had spent a second stint at Anfield and moved to the Championship club on a free transfer at the age of 32, signing a two year deal.
