Ulster players told to make their own way to Bundoran... here's how they're getting on

Not so much trains, plains, automobiles. More like pints, floral prints and neon pants.

ULSTER PLAYERS ARRIVED into their Newforge base in Belfast this morning thinking the cross-province trip prior to open training sessions in Donegal and Strabane would be no big deal.

Instead, they have been tasked with making their own way west and given the opportunity to win points for objectives completed along the way.

“They thought they were all jumping on the bus,” said coach Mark Anscombe with an only slightly evil tone of voice as he explained the situation.

Driving themselves, it seems, is off the agenda as they pay a visit to Lavery’s just off the Donegal Road as the first step.

And, well, they weren’t just in Lavery’s. They were on Lavery’s.

They also popped up in House of Fraser to try on hats and harass this poor unsuspecting employee.

But the serious business of actually getting to Bundoran in time for dinner at 8pm is playing on their minds.
