NIGERIA ARE INTO the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations are sending pre-tournament favourites Ivory Coast home.

The Super Eagles went ahead through Emmanuel Emenike just before half-time but Newcastle’s Cheick Tiote headed home a Didier Drogba cross on 50 minutes.

With the game heading towards extra-time, the Warri Wolves midfielder took possession in his own half and went by two players before firing past Boubacar Barr via a deflection.
