IF YOU’RE LOOKING for goals, yesterday’s Champions for Africa charity match might be a good place to start.

La Liga stars Freddy Kanouté, Roberto Soldado, Santi Cazorla, Jesús Navas and Joaquín enjoyed a post-Christmas kickabout as almost 40,000 people turned out to see Africa United draw 14-14 against a champions XI in Valencia’s Estadio Mestalla.

The match, which was organised by UNICEF in conjunction with the Kanouté Foundation, raised over half a million euro to help children affected by drought in the Horn of Africa, Nostresport reports.
