Watch all nine goals from Liverpool's friendly in Malaysia

The Reds continued their pre-season tour of the Far East with another, high-scoring, victory.

NEW LIVERPOOL SIGNING Charlie Adam scored from the spot on his first start for the club as Kenny Dalglish’s side won another high-scoring friendly victory, 6-3 against the Malaysia All Stars.

Having beaten Guangdong 4-3 in China three days ago, there were nine more goals in an entertaining clash against a Malaysian XI.

Adam, a £6.75million signing from Blackpool was a lively presence in the opening exchanges and after 25 minutes played in Carroll, who went down in the area and earned the penalty. Adam had to take the spot-kick twice but sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 1-0.

Mohammad Safiq Rahim then equalised with a fine free-kick five minutes from half-time however.

Dalglish made 11 substitutions at half-time and after 68 minutes David Ngog – who will be staying at the club according to John Henry – scored following some poor defending. The Frenchman added a second moments later as the Reds swamped their opponents.

Spanish winger Maxi Rodriguez then made it 4-1…

…before Mohammad Safi scored twice in as many minutes to put the hosts back in contention.

Maxi then scored a second of his own in the last minute as the All-Stars chased the equaliser, with Dirk Kuyt making it six deep in injury time.

Charlie Adam tweeted afterwards: “Another 45 mins and delighted to get first goal for club on to Singapore for couple days then back home”

In more news for Liverpool fans, the Anfield club tied up the protracted Stuart Downing transfer overnight.
