THERE’S THREE SENIOR players and eight Leinster U21 winners in the Wexford team that takes on Kilkenny in tomorrow’s Bord Gáis Energy Leinster U21 quarter-final.
Wexford boss JJ Doyle has named a strong side with full-back Liam Ryan, wing-forward Jack Guiney and full-forward Conor McDonald all entering the game on the back of starting in the county senior side’s victory over Antrim in Portlaoise last Sunday.
Guiney and McDonald both started in last July’s dramatic Leinster U21 final win after extra-time against Kilkenny in Wexford Park.
There’s six other members of that side who will be back in action tomorrow night in corner-backs Garrett Foley and Eoin Conroy, wing-back Andrew Kenny, centre-back Shane O’Gorman, and the corner-forward duo Rhys Clarke and Gary Moore.
Throw-in tomorrow is at Nowlan Park at 7.30pm.
