WEXFORD HAVE ANNOUNCED their new senior football manager.
Kildare native Paul McLoughlin has been named as Seamus McEnaney’s successor, and he’ll take over on a three-year term.
Now living in Rosslare, McLoughlin has previously managed the Wexford minor side, and was part of the senior backroom team under Jason Ryan and Aidan O’Brien.
In his playing career with the Lilywhites, he featured in three Leinster finals.
“Paul has assembled a top class backroom team which will be confirmed following the conclusion of the local club championships,” a statement on Wexford GAA’s official website concluded, as the news was confirmed.
Wexford will open their 2018 campaign in Division 3 of the National Football League, after McEnaney guided them to promotion during his single year at the helm.
The Model county’s championship campaign was ended by Monaghan in the second round of the qualifiers this year.
