What we learned this weekend...

Here’s what we took from another weekend on the couch.

1. Paddy Wallace is Zoolander

In the Hollywood comedy based in the world of fashion, Ben Stiller couldn’t turn left. Ulster centre, Wallace, can’t see flying wingers in acres of space unless they’re to his right, similarly.

Deary me…

2. Celebrations on ice are a tricky undertaking

This Dinamo Riga player is a dollar short and a second late after his teammate Lauris Darzins scored the winner against Dinamo Moscow this weekend.

3. Rory McIlory does not drive a £1.3million Bugatti

The Sunday Independent wrote the following: “Superstar golfer Rory McIlroy has just sped into the fast lane of fame and fortune after splashing out on a supercar Bugatti Veyron worth €1.5m.

“The wonder boy of the golfing world has treated himself to the ultimate boy’s toy with the hard-earned cash he has made from setting the sporting world alight.

“Sources say the flash wheels are due to arrive in the coming weeks and are about to make the Co Down boy’s wildest dreams come true.”

Rory McIlroy wrote the following:

4. It really is a beautiful game

Someone animated Gareth Bale’s Champions League performances against Inter Milan. Not as good as Spongebob though.

5. It’s funny seeing millionaire baller LeBron get hit

LBJ took a shoulder in the face from his team-mate Dwayne Wade right after shipping another slap. The Heat won though.
