AFTER ALMOST A month of football, only two teams remain as potential World Cup winners.
France have a chance to emulate the heroics of their ’98 side, having beaten Belgium 1-0 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Croatia, with a population of just over four million, could win the competition for the first time ever, after overcoming England on Wednesday night.
Didier Deschamps’ side will go into the game as favourites — they were tipped as one of the main contenders prior to the tournament, and have an abundance of star players to choose from.
The pressure will be off Croatia though. Few people expected them to reach the final, so anything from this point onwards will be a bonus.
