Xavi is leaving Barcelona for a €10m/year deal in Qatar - reports

Spanish midfielder set to sign three-year deal to replace Raul in Qatar.

BARCELONA LEGEND XAVI Hernandez is set to leave the club at the end of the season for a multi-million pound deal in Qatar.

Xavi has agreed a €10 million/year, three-year deal with Al Sadd, according to reports in the Spanish media on Thursday afternoon.

The move would signal the end of an era for the player who came through the Catalan club’s famed La Masia academy and made more than 750 appearances over 17 years.

During that time he won seven La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues, as well as two European Championships and the 2010 World Cup with Spain.

He will replace another Spanish icon, former Real Madrid striker Raul, at the Qatari club.

Xavi, 35, will also study for his coaching badges, AS reports.
