You're a natural: Woman makes shot worth €40,000

Brenda Hewett picked up a hockey stick for the first time, then did the unbelievable.

IT’S A SHOT that you wouldn’t put money on an NHL player to make – never mind a 59-year-old women who’d never held a hockey stick before.

However, Brenda Hewett showed incredible accuracy to squeeze the puck through a tiny hole a whopping 114ft away during the interval at the Pro Hockey game in New York.

She couldn’t believe her own eyes as the shot went in to win her the €40,000 Ford F150 4×4.

Funnily, Hewett had only visited the garage which was giving the truck away that very morning, according to manager Scott Coupal.

“She had been in to get some service work done to her old truck, and had said ‘God, I wish I could afford a new truck mine is falling apart.’ Coupal said in the Daily Mail.

The Frenchie’s Ford Inc employee then dared Hewett to enter the competition for a laugh. Little did he know she’d actually succeed.

“She pulled back the puck in a awkward stance and she let it fly. Myself and the crowd didn’t even think there was enough steam on the puck to even make it to the target.”
