A FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT between Alex Enlund (14-2) and Martin Buschkamp (9-0) has been added to the card for UFC Fight Night 93.
The event, which will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett, is set to take place in Hamburg on 3 September.
Enlund, a 29-year-old Englishman, will relinquish the Cage Warriors featherweight belt to make his long-awaited debut against a fellow first-timer in the undefeated German.
A jiu-jitsu specialist with 11 submission wins, Enlund defeated Nad Narimani in a five-round thriller in November 2014 to claim the CWFC title. The strap had been most recently held by Jim Alers and Conor McGregor, both of whom also vacated it to move to the UFC.
Enlund has won his last seven bouts, including a first-round submission of Artem Lobov in Dublin in March 2014. Ex-Cage Warriors middleweight champion Jack Hermansson will also make his UFC debut on the Hamburg bill — against Scott Askham.
Like Enlund, Buschkamp has been one of Europe’s top featherweight prospects for a long time. Another grappling expert, seven of the 25-year-old’s nine victories have come via submission.
