Bohs turn on the style to get back to winning ways

Jake Kelly and Ishmail Akinade score in 3-0 win.

Bohemians 3

Galway United 0

BOHEMIANS GOT BACK to winning ways at Dalymount Park this evening, comfortably seeing off Galway United 3-0.

After a 4-0 thumping of Derry last time out, Galway manager Tommy Dunne named an unchanged side for the trip to the capital, but it wasn’t long before they were picking the ball out of their net.

Ishmail Akinade opened the scoring after eight minutes, after a defensive mix-up, capitalising on Killian Cantwell’s mistake.

It was 2-0 after 25 minutes, with Jake Kelly on target, burying a rebound following Akinade’s header hitting the woodwork.

The game was effectively over just after the hour mark, as Enda Curran saw red for the visitors after lunging in on Stephen Best, before Kelly grabbed his second from the penalty spot to round off a comfortable night for Keith Long’s side.

The win ends a run of successive defeats for Bohs, who stay fifth place in the table.

Bohemians: Delany; Fitzgerald, Lopes (c), Prendergast, Buckley, Kelly, Kavanagh, Murphy, Best, Akinade, Mulcahy.
