Angry Cam Newton cuts news conference short after Super Bowl loss

The Carolina Panthers quarterback was clearly not happy with certain questions.

A DEJECTED CAM Newton grew tired of answering questions about what went wrong in the Carolina Panthers’ 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

Newton was sacked six times by the Broncos, whose defense led them to their win at Levi’s Stadium.

When he was asked why he struggled to complete passes, Newton simply got up and walked off the podium after about three minutes.

Before he prematurely ended his post-game news conference, Newton said the Panthers were outplayed by the Broncos, but the NFL MVP vowed to be back.

“We had our opportunities,” said Newton, who was 18 of 41 for 245 yards with an interception and two lost fumbles that led to the only Broncos touchdowns.

It wasn’t nothing special they did. We dropped balls, turned the ball over, gave up sacks, threw errant passes. They scored more points than we did.”

Newton’s second fumble was one he had an opportunity to recover, but instead of diving on the loose ball, he backed away from it and did not address the play following the game.

“This is one of those things that’s going to hurt,” Panthers coach Ron Rivera said after the game.
