THE IRELAND CLUB team for next weekend’s international against French Federale has been named by head coach Paul Cunningham.
Ten different Ulster Bank League clubs are represented in the selection with Lansdowne and Clontarf both providing four players.
Clontarf centre Matt D’Arcy, who was signed by Munster on a short-term deal last June, captains the side while Old Belvedere, Garryowen, UCD, Cork Con and Ballynahinch are the other teams from Division 1A represented.
The rest of the squad is made up of players from Division 1B clubs Ballymena, St Mary’s and Dublin University.
Friday’s fixture is the first of two outings for Ireland, with a clash against Scotland in Cork on 18 March completing their schedule.
