Kildare 1-3 Monaghan 0-3 20 mins – Now that should liven things up here. Kildare hit the net in style as Bolton thumps a brilliant left-foot shot past Rory Beggan. Credit to Alan Smith for splitting the defence with the pass but did he nudge Colin Walshe in the back initially to win the ball? It might have been slight contact and play was allowed to continue. Take nothing away from Bolton, he showed great conviction to score.
