HAVING MISSED OUT Gonzalo Higuain (who looked like he enjoyed his summer a little too much while making his Juventus debut against West Ham over the weekend), Arsenal remain in the market for a goalscorer and Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi could be just the man.
According to Gazzetta World, the Gunners are planning to offer a whopping €35 million plus Olivier Giroud for the Argentine forward.
However, Napoli are also looking to replace Higuain with 23-year-old Icardi, who scored 16 goals in 33 Serie A matches last season.
Manchester City have announced deals for six new players over the summer months and Pep Guardiola plans to clear out some of the deadwood to make room in his squad.
That will see Samir Nasri shown the door, with Italian clubs AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma keen on the 29-year-old Frenchman.
West Ham have announced the arrival of full-back Arthur Masuaku from Olympiacos for an undisclosed fee. Hopefully he gets the nickname Archie given where he is moving to.

Slaven Bilic has revealed that the club are close to agreeing a deal for Ghanaian attacker Andre Ayew from Swansea, while the Swans are hoping to replace him with €18m-rated Atletico Madrid forward Borja Baston.
Meanwhile, Hammers and Ireland U21 midfielder Josh Cullen has been sent to League One club Bradford City on a five-month loan deal to gain first team experience.

Long before he was winning the Premier League title as a manager, Roberto Mancini had his first real taste of English football in 2001.
At the age of 36, the Italian forward joined Leicester City on loan from Lazio and made his debut against Arsenal. However, he would play just five times for the Foxes.
After citing personal reasons for a leave of absence one month later, Mancini took up a job offer to become manager of Fiorentina.
