Ipswich turn down €6 million bid for Ireland striker Daryl Murphy and all of today's best transfer gossip

A €6 million bid for Daryl Murphy has been rejected, while Robinho is on the move again.

HERE’S YOUR DAILY dose of transfer gossip as the madness of the summer transfer window begins and who better to guide us through the latest wheelin’ and dealin’s than ‘Arry himself.

Just don’t use the words wheelin’ or dealin’, alright?

Pay-day: The Chinese Super League has become somewhat of an outhouse for ageing players looking for a payday, or just flops in general. One club that has proved extremely accommodating towards Brazilian flops looks set to add another this week. That club is Guanzhou Evergrande, and Sky Sports report that former Manchester City striker Robinho is on his way to join compatriot Paulinho.

Big deal: In one of the biggest deals of the summer so far, Douglas Costa has agreed to join Bayern Munich from Shakhtar Donetsk for €30 million. Goal have reported that it is a done-deal and the 24-year-old Brazilian attacker will move to provide both competition and cover for Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben on the wings.

Confirmation: Chelsea are set to confirm the signing of Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco. The Colombian has agreed to slash his wages according to the Daily Mirror, as he bids to re-establish himself after a disappointing spell with the Red Devils.

Escape Pod: Lukas Podolski is on his way out of Arsenal and according to most sources, he will rock up at Galatasaray next. The German forward has never been a regular starter in Arsene Wenger’s side, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan. Galatasaray will fork out just €3 million for a 30-year-old with 125 international caps.

Early exit: AS report that Juan Cuadrado is set to leave Chelsea this summer, with Atlético Madrid a possible destination for the winger. He could be a replacement for the out-going Arda Turan, who has incidentally been linked with the Blues. The Colombian speedster only signed for the Chelsea in January, but it’s obvious José Mourinho isn’t too keen on him.

Catching a Cab: Alan Pardew is close to securing a reunion with former Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye. The PSG man is set to join Crystal Palace for a cut-price fee according to the Daily Mirror. The French playmaker is looking for a new club to provide more game time ahead of Euro 2016 where he will hope to feature for France. That would be a fabulous signing for the Eagles.

Seeking employment: Former Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies is on the lookout for a new club after Preston North End failed to offer the English man a new deal. Davies tweeted his frustration at not being kept on by the club and closed out the tweet by saying “I’m available”.

Rejected: Middlesborough have had a €6 million bid for Irish striker Daryl Murphy rejected by Ipswich. The Tractor Boys are under no pressure to sell their 27-goal striker after receiving €11.25 million for centre-back Tyrone Mings from Bournemouth last week.

Wanted man: Charlie Austin is the subject of interest from West Brom according to the Daily Telegraph. The QPR striker bagged 18 goals in his debut Premier League season last year despite the Hoops being relegated. Newcastle are also interested in the striker and he would command a fee of at least €14 million, which the Baggies are said to have already bid.

Alternative: Manchester United have not given up on signing Sergio Ramos yet, but that doesn’t stop Dutch newspaper Del Telegraaf from nominating an alternative if they fail with a bid for the Spaniard. Stefan de Vrij, the man in question, is a centre-back who has worked with Louis Van Gaal when he was manager of the Dutch national team and a possible reunion is being mooted.

New star: Long-term Arsenal target William Carvalho was highly impressive at the U21 European Championships this month and that has persuaded Arsene Wenger to move for him according to the Daily Star. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder could move from Sporting Lisbon for €27 million.
