It looks like former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has retired from boxing again

A title fight with Anthony Joshua doesn’t look likely after these latest comments.

TYSON FURY’S HOPES of winning back his heavyweight titles may be over after the British boxer appeared to call time on his career this evening.

Fury has not fought since triumphing over Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 and was said to be working his way back to fitness ahead of an all-British title fight with Anthony Joshua.

The 28-year-old had called out Joshua following the latter’s win over Klitschko and stated that a fight between the pair was what “the world wants to see”.

Joshua said he would not consider fighting Fury until his rival had regained full fitness, with the Mancunian also needing to obtain his boxing licence after stepping away from the sport amid mental health issues and a failed drug test.

And it appears Joshua may not get the opportunity to face Fury, who took to Instagram today, seemingly to announce his retirement.

Been blessed in my life and career to achieve the utmost most in boxing, was a epic journey along the way,” he wrote.

“Thanks to all the fans that supported and believed in me along the way. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. THE END.”
