Andy Goode hung his Wasps team-mate all the way out to dry for bailing on a charity event

They won’t be team-mates for long, but still.

WASPS OUT-HALF ANDY Goode has already signaled his exit from the Coventry club this summer. Perhaps it’s that waiting London Irish contract that gave him the courage to name and shame team-mate Christian Wade for pulling out of a charity event for the Matt Hampson Foundation in Birmingham last night.

Goode was very excited about doing his bit for a fellow ex-Tiger, tweeting this after training

Three hours later, things turned sour with the England international calling out Wade for bailing on him

Insulting a players values and questioning their commitment to culture and trust within the club. That’s pretty much as scathing as it gets to a modern day pro.

Goode continued to do his bit for the Hampson foundation, by tweeting praise for those who did attend

Mark Cueto, Danny Cipriani, Joe Simpson, Simon McIntyre, Ashley Johnson, Tom Varndell and Manu Tuilagi are a great bunch of lads.

Just think, Christian. You too could have been counted among these good guys.

With Goode taking his Wasps team-mates to join Leicester stars past and present, it looked like quite a night

This afternoon, Wade arrived sheepishly back onto the Twittersphere

Let that be a lesson to you, professional sportsmen. Even team-mates won’t protect you from ditching charity commitments.
