Andy Reid can't catch a break when it comes to injuries at the moment

Forest playmaker ruled out for a further three weeks with hamstring tear.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST’S PROMOTION chase has been dealt another setback with the news that Irish playmaker Andy Reid has been ruled out for a further three weeks.

Reid limped off against Doncaster last weekend and Forest boss Billy Davies confirmed today that he has torn his hamstring.

Saturday’s 0-0 draw was Reid’s first start on his comeback following hernia surgery and now he’s set to miss another crucial period in the Championship run-in, starting with Saturday’s trip to playoff rivals Derby County.

Forest, who lost three straight games in the league while he was out injured, are currently sixth with Reading and Brighton just a point behind them.

Richard Dunne was sent off for a foul on Irish teammate Leon Best last night
